The Inevitable Change We Face

I am very spiritual and at times in the clouds, but I am very analytical and scientific. Yes, it’s possible. The one thing that I think about the most is what this world is going through- the upsetting natural disasters and erratic weather, the mentality of our species being ran by media and technology, flooding populations, suffering, injustice, addictions, materialism, propaganda….you get my drift. And I tie in all of the talk on ‘global warming’ and ‘the end of the world’, wrap my head around every angle, and draw a conclusion based on facts as well as a strong intuition as I have had over all my years.
For this blog post, I will let my scientific side shine….
Something is obviously happening- and it’s been happening for years. Heck, it began when existence came about. It’s called change, and it’s inevitable. First it was called Global Warming, now it’s being dubbed as Global Changing, which is more accurate. However, scientists are trying to get across the fact that what really is happening is that the earth’s magnetic poles are shifting. Yes, what was once the South Pole is now the North Pole and eventually will become the South Pole again. With the shift of the poles, their magnetic fields are what’s causing abnormal weather patterns and outrageous natural disasters. Here is a model of the earth’s magnetic fields as viewed at a normal point-of-view:

Here’s a general idea of what is going on with them now:

As you can see, this would explain the erratic natural behaviours.
Now, this is what will happen when it actually makes the shift:

Aaak! that very well could lead to the wiping of our existence- not for many, many years though. Buuuuut- It’s been shown that on average, a reversal would occur every 300,000 years. We haven’t had one for about 760,000. Sure, maybe there is something that has been slowing it down, but obviously it has picked up speed in the recent years by the changes we have witnessed.
Also, let’s take a look at the difference in the location of the North Pole  from over the past century.

They also discovered that the Chilean earthquake of 2010 had caused the earth’s axis to shift, therefore speeding up the earth’s rotation which has caused each day to be 1.26 microseconds shorter. May not seem like a lot, but in the long run in will have a big impact on the magnetic poles. Perhaps we can take into consideration the Midwest which was recently bombarded with tons of tornadoes, some of which were devastating and happened even before the peak season. To rewind a bit, this isn’t the first time. The 2004 Indian Ocean quake & tsunami caused the length of day to shorten by 6.8 microseconds. Hmmm, no wonder time seems to be going by faster!
And, yes, what happens under the earth can cause things to happen in the atmosphere. Decent-sized earthquake= shifting of tectonic plates= shifting of poles and axes and magnetic fields= the relentless PMS of Mother Nature. And yes, the shifting poles creates ‘holes’ in our ozone layer which could essentially cause meteors or solar flares to reach our atmosphere, given that they are in the right place and the right time, so to speak. But that chance is very minimal.
One more tidbit of nerd-info, and while we are on the subject of earthquakes, it is shown that earthquakes not only shift the tectonic plates, but in the shift cause a thrust in a certain direction, building up more and more pressure further up the tectonic plate or the connecting plate.
Look at what a minefield we live on!

And do you find it interesting like I do the pattern of the earthquakes in the past year? Haiti- Jan 2010, Chile- Feb 2010, New Zealand- Feb 2011, Japan- March 2011. I wasn’t crazy to think that the ‘earthquake predictor’ was wrong on the call of the Northwest US being next and in May 2011.  But he is right in the fact that we could very likely be next. But really, it all depends on how the pressure is built up from the plates, as they are all different. But we must know that the big west coast quake/tsunami is inevitable, nothing we should be scared about, but as prepared as can be for.

There is nothing we can really do about this change, it’s really unavoidable. Sure we are polluting it with garbage and fuel and toxins, but in the long run, this change would still happen no matter what we do. The one thing we’ve done already to speed up this event is destroying forests, which provides us with oxygen and keeps our earth and atmosphere habitable. We can at least do as much as we can to slow down the process, but unfortunately the major damage is already done. We can’t blame ourselves for causing it to happen, though. Like I said, the shift would naturally occur anyways. This shouldn’t be sad news or a negative approach, it’s just reality of the science of life. All life changes. Energy changes. There can’t be a date set, you can’t predict such a thing. So don’t expect that you won’t be here after the year 2012. I really think we have a long ways before the shift occurs, high chances not in our lifetime or for even quite a while after. I am just writing this merely to explain what is going on with our earth and all of its strange behaviours that have rapidly been happening in the past years.

This concludes the scientific portion of my thoughts on this subject. I encourage your thoughts, but please- this isn’t an invitation to make it an argument, but I welcome all views and opinions in a healthy, mature manner. And thank you to USGS and NASA for the photos and data to help me put this together. Coming soon: The spiritual, deeper side of the inevitable change….
